At the heart of this authenticity lies the Manipura chakra, the third energy center, known as the solar plexus chakra, which governs confidence, personal power, and self-identity.
What is the Manipura chakra?
Manipura, located in the solar plexus area, is the energy center that drives our willpower, self-esteem, and decision-making ability. It is the inner fire that propels our actions and helps us transform challenges into opportunities for growth.
When this chakra is balanced, it manifests as a feeling of vitality, clarity, and self-confidence.
The process of being authentically yourself involves recognizing and honoring your emotions, thoughts, and desires. It is a path of self-acceptance and personal growth where every experience, both positive and challenging, gives you the opportunity to discover and reaffirm your identity. This is a path that each of us should walk individually.
Being yourself means leaving behind social masks and living according to your true values and passions. Manipura reminds you that your individuality is a unique treasure, and that each step toward authenticity strengthens your ability to create the life you desire.

How to activate and balance the Manipura chakra
There are various practices that can help you nourish and balance this important energy center, such as:
- Meditation
Dedicate a few minutes each day to meditating while focusing on the solar plexus area. Visualize a golden light radiating warmth and energy, direct your breath toward the center of your stomach, and guide it along your spine. My recommendation is to start with just 2 minutes a day.
- Breathing exercises
Conscious breathing, especially pranayama practices, helps activate the inner fire. Inhale deeply, feeling the energy expand in your abdomen, and exhale releasing tension and doubt.
- Affirmation practice
Repeat affirmations that reinforce your self-acceptance and personal power, such as "I am authentic," "I trust my inner power," or "Every challenge makes me stronger." These words will help you reconnect with your true essence.
- Yoga
Incorporating yoga postures that strengthen the solar plexus area, such as warrior pose or boat pose, known as navasana, can be an effective way to energize Manipura, combining physical movement with the intention of living fully.
